Are you working on a term paper? Are you having nightmares abouthow to do a bibliography? Are you being chased by a quotation without a citation? Are you haunted by poorly formatted 'works cited' lists?
Don't be frightened! Help is here!
RefWorks is a web-based bibliography builder. It can handle a variety of citation styles and should be able to deal with whatever sources you need to cite. It's a subscription service and, in the vein of you-get-what-you-pay-for, should be far superior to the free web-based services (easybib, knightcite, citationmachine...) our students currently use.
We chose RefWorks over similar products because it interfaces with many of our research databases and also because it's the service our students are most likely to have available to them when they get to college.
From a computer on the school's network, go to http://www.refworks.com Look for the LOGIN button on the left hand side and click on it.
RefWorks should recognize you as being at Northfield Mount Hermon School.
Each user must set up his or her own account. Look for "New to RefWorks? Sign up for an individual account." (free)
Questions? swis me! The librarians are also new to RefWorks, so we may not have all the answers but we're looking forward to learning...
